Being in Michael's SUV, surrounded by four men over six feet tall, was certainly intimidating for her, but what really gave her goosebumps was Damon, sitting in the seat right behind. His presence made it almost impossible for her to ignore the tension that hung in the air between them. Michael remained focused on getting out of Thunder Bay, but not too far from the city. Kai was in the passenger seat, while Will occupied the seat on her right side, sometimes stealing glances in her direction. On the radio, Thousand Foot Krutch's "Let Sparks Fly" played loudly, filling the silence with its energetic rhythm. However, it was the smell of Damon's cigarette, calmly escaping his lips, that marked his presence the most. With his arms resting on the back of his seat and his hungry eyes fixed on her, he exuded an aura that was both menacing and hypnotic.
